My wife and I interviewed 3 realtors when we started home shopping. We knew we were looking for our forever home and needed someone capable of guiding us through the ins and outs of home buying. Specifically wanted a realtor that was willing to explain each phase and walk me through each step. Choosing Nate Oswalt as our realtor was one of the best decisions we ever made.
Nate was a full-service realtor. When we needed to find a lender, he had multiple options. WE work hectic schedules, Nate scheduled weeknight and weekend showings. When we wanted to see a house last minute with no notice, Nate made a quick call and got us in. We were not dead set on a specific area and Nate showed us listings all around town. When we wanted to know about the construction in a lot near a house, Nate asked neighbors, firemen and the city planner to get the info we needed to make a sound decision.
When we did find our house, Nate structured an offer that was not only under asking, but also got us cash back at closing that really helped us with the down payment. Our offer was accepted for $65K less than the original listing! We had enough cash left over we were able to replace all the carpets immediately. Nate scheduled the home inspection, who was also outstanding, and worked it out to have our families come view the house prior to closing. Anything we needed we got. When I told Nate that I’d never had a sprinkler system and worried about blowing it out for winter, Nate came over and showed me how to do it! What realtor does that?
So, when my parents started looking for vacation property in the mountains, I recommended Nate. Nate snowshoed 2 hours one way to show them a property they were interested in. Then, after the showing, they hiked out another 2 hours. They are now under contract on that place and its because they had an agent willing to go all in for them. Nate goes way beyond any real estate agent out there. I still talk to Nate all the time, we have become good friends through this process. I honestly am so thankful to have found such a great person to guide me through the home buying experience
